The Importance of Consciousness
Lewis says the divine nature is so fundamental to our whole creaturely existence it's closer to us than we are to ourselves it can be overlooked psychology theology thirdly epistemology Lewis thinks about thinking he once said that an influence which cannot evade our consciousness will not go very deep but what did he mean by consciousness he meant two things principally enjoyment and contemplation. He wrote about these in an essay called meditation in a tool shed which i'll summarize quickly before we carry on.
