The Importance of Algorithms in Advertising

Twitter was sold as a micro blog insight where you could just write your own posts people could follow you and then whoever you followed you'd get to see what they produce basically their pictures or their texts etc. But increasingly in things like Facebook that's not what you get but whatever seems to produce more most profit which is how the algorithm works. There are whole other half of China who don't think they will be able to make money out of so therefore advertising and messing with the algorithms consistently has become central to business model for them.
