How Much Time Should You Invest in Fixing Legacy Code?
The 80-20 rule applies to commits also, right? There's many, many files in your system that you'll probably never change again. But if you're aware of those dynamics, then you basically know where to concentrate your effort. It's not an easy thing necessarily, but I think the thing we need to recognize is that chain or value is not uniformly distributed across systems. And we should behave differently in different areas of the system because of that.
