The 2011 Mavericks - If Not Durant, There's Nobody Out There That Makes Sense to Throw All Our Chips In

I would have thrown everything I could at Durant in retrospect now even then. It's very clear that Durant was a one horse ish race and they didn't have the goods to compete with what Phoenix offered anyway. The 2011 Mavs who just kind of plugged away, plugged away,. plugged away,plugged away. And it's exceedingly unlikely that any team in a vacuum wins a championship over X five year span. But maybe someday there will be something better.
