The main difference between skill acquisition and a job versus skill acquisition outside of a job is there's this weird dynamic in the marketplace that rapid skill acquisition cannot happen within one role. In order to go above and beyond it, what ends up happening is you end up just picking up the slack of the department or coworkers still within the same locus of work. But when it comes to the side hustle thing, especially since it's usually under a different type of leverage capacity, if you're able to leverage a good skill, you can increase your income much more significantly.
