Using a Common Insurance Amount to Deploy in Florida
Florida passed a bill this year that gives businesses more certainty about deploying AVs in the state. The law requires companies to have at least $1 million in insurance, which is similar to what an Uber driver has politically and publicly. Florida's first self-driving car was driven by Anthony Lewandowski on I-10 back in 2011. He says he drove it with a popcorn bucket over his head while driving 70 miles per hour through traffic.
