The Risk of a Blockade of Taiwan

Nikkei Asia reported this week that China is preparing for a possible blockade of Taiwan sometime in the near future how likely is that scenario? Look that stuff gets talked about I think what is very clear as China has been for the last 20 years been stepping up its military size and capability. The US should be talking to China and it's important for countries like New Zealand to be urging those major powers to do so. It's an interesting line in the release this week building and sustaining a public conversation on national security by being more upfront about what we are observing.
