Amit Choudhury's Friend of My Youth

Amit Choudhury's latest book, Friend of My Youth is about a novelist. He goes back to Mumbai where he grew up to promote his new book. The novel sort of follows him as he tries to discover the friend of his youth who may or may not be there. Is it really a novel or is it a memoir? Call me stupid, but Amit ChoudHury writing about Amit Choud hury sounds like a riddle.
