I don't think there's any information that wholly lives within the knowledge base of the devs that would require them to sit up there and be subject to cross-examination. The legal system and the lawyers in the UK are much more polite and decorous than they are here. So what we're used to, these hard-hitting aggressive lawyers make people cry on the stand. That's just not how it's done there
