Dianne Feinstein has asked to be temporarily removed from the Judiciary Committee amid growing calls for her to step down. She's been on leave since March as she recovers at home from shingles. California Governor Gavin Newsom would appoint someone to finish Feinstein's term. He said he would choose a black woman and that he has, quote, multiple names in mind.
