The Heart of Worship Is Sacrificed

In Leviticus, we have this sabbatical year. On the seventh year, just like on every seventh day, you're called to rest. And there's something about this that's so backwards for our acquisitorial lifestyle. We live in such a culture that demands consumerism and demands acquisition. But yet here is God who says, no, on the seventh year,. What is that? It's not just resting. It's also affirming your no longer slaves, although that's a massive piece. That sacrifice is a sacrifice of trust. It's a sacrifice of love.
