The Effects of Spacecraft Electricity

Physicists always like to assume everything 's a sphere at first order, but the details matter when you're making really, really precise measurements. And this thing has two big, hot batteries on one side and then like a cool dish on the other side. But it also has a bunch of instruments that use that electricity. As they draw current, they get hot, and as they heat up, they glow. These kind of effects that just the glowing heat from these things is big enough to explain the effect that we're seeing.
