Do You Give Communion to Downsindrum Adults?

Thomas aquinas says babies and infants shouldn't be given eucharist. Aquinas: A person that has severe down cinderum is not a rational being. They have to have some one take care of them their entire life. And yet, pastorally, who does that any more? The reason why is because they believe there is some good benefit to that person.
