Pratt and Whitney's Road Map to Solving the GTF Problems

Poor old Pratt & Whitney really can't catch a break. They've been grappling with supply chain issues that have meant longer than expected service times on the popular GTF engine. Now it faces another hurdle because it's had to recall around 1200 engines for inspection right on top of the peak summer travel season. This comes after they discovered amounts of contamination were present in the metal used in the engine's high pressure turbine discs.
