Can You Replace a Bad Habit With a Good One?
I believe there has to be a greater good in order to stop an unwonted behaviour. The more you start thinking about that, the bigger it becomes. You're actually looking at the very thing that you don't want to do and it looms larger than ever before. So if there's a greater good, you've turned away from the unwonted path or behaviour,. And you're spending more time focused on the greater good. I'm really bad at shutting it down for the night - i always have been. It's not enough to just sort of get rid of the negative ones. There must be one that's more powerful in the positive sense to replace it.
