"I wasn't sure he was an apostate because he took off his helmet, but he violated the creed of his own free will," says actor John Payne. "They did not do a good job explaining that." The last time we'd seen Boba Fett's armor was in 'Boba Fett', which is where this plot comes from. But as far as Mando and Grogu, they just show up and they never explain that.
