Is There Any Such Thing as Absolute Motion?
Aristes: Our minds are not united to our bodies because they can only be united with what can act on it. So it's only god that unites us to our bodies and, by way of our bodies, to external bodies. We begin in section two with the idea that matter can' actually affect the mind. Because it can't do anything, it can't move anything. It can't cause something else to move as extension. And its properties are only relations of distance. I thought the bossy van, you could have said theo and it still wouldn't have solved your problem.
