The Limits of Dendritic Preservation

The more you can preserve the better and the less structural destruction can cause the brain, the better. There's a lot of very interesting review papers on dendritic computation which we can send out to your listeners if they want to open it more detail. On the other hand, there's also been some recent, we could work in simulating neurons. They asked us this exact question, how specific do you need to get to still get a reasonable behavior that approximates what the neurons actually do in life? It probably matters. Most of the way you get that is the geometry of the tree. All that stuff is about the limit of my understanding of that sort of thing.
