The Strikes of Nurses

Home care workers increasingly find themselves having to cut out all of the relational and affective or kind of emotional aspects of care work altogether so that they can save time. So a lot of the organizing in that sector happens in finding public places where people leave the home. But even then what you get there is often a union that doesn't have a lot of participation. It does not really form with the leadership of those workers so much as it was formed by a union making a deal with the state legislators and state, you know, governors and whatever.
