Brown noise is a difference between brown and white noise. It's more like versus like shh, so there's like a deepness to it. So for me, when I was a research scientist at MIT, especially when there's a lot of students around, I remember just being annoyed at the noise of people talking. And one of my colleagues said, well, you should try listening to brown noise. Like it really knocks out everything. The moment I put it on, something, as if my mind was waiting all these years, to hear that sound. Everything's just focused in. Sam Newport was the first person that introduced me to the idea of deep work.
