Severian's Arm Jersks Dorcas Out of the Water

The popping open of the eyes right before Dorcas dies gives us a potential out at least in the moment. She was never fully dead to begin with she was just trapped in some sort of suspended animation and Severian's contact was enough to jerk her out of it. The only way that this could have happened is if Severian resurrected her through use of the claw. Whether or not that sounds far-fetched is another question. I mean but right now. It's far-fetched than saying a magic jewel brought back to life. Brought someone back from the dead yeah exactly.
