Bruce Dorn grew up 27 miles from the Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana. He started racing motorcycles at age 14 and raced TQ midgets until he was 19. The Novi supercharged race cars of the 50s and 60s could do 250 mile an hour on ridiculously narrow tires by its ply tires. "I sort of got methanol in my blood from growing up near the home of motorsports"
