The series is not recorded in chronological order. Instead, all the scenes they plan to record in one room are recorded in a row. In the field, John uses a single stereo mic. It's a Sennheiser 418 in case you'd like to nerd out on gear. Like a camera lens, we would choreograph where the microphone goes and how it moves with the action of the actors.
