Disney's Ariel

This movie does not engage with any of those ideas at all. There is an Asian boy mermaid at the end. It made me kind of lose my mind because I'm like, I don't think I've ever seen an Asian mermaid before. Holly Bailey was basically left out to dry because people have just been attacking her because she's Ariel. And this movie doesn't actually- Well, that's awful,. Yeah, it sucks. But I do feel like these companies tend to trot out these characters like this and be like, hey, diversity. The little boner that happens at the end? You don't remember this? What happened in the real world with Meleghan
