Is Whole Exome Sequencing Important?
All cells in our body have the same DNA, but genetic material that's expressed is different in different cells. So for whole exome sequencing, we're just looking at any genes that are active. We used to call the other 99% of the genome junk DNA,. But it actually does have roles in important roles, but it's just not actively becoming proteins.
