Grela is known to be an icelandic christmas ghoul who is quite large. She lives deep in the mountains with her demonic children, and allows one to come to the village on each day leading up to christmas. The yule lads are more just like cuckee, mischievous bringers of yultide cheer watc your sausages. If you ware a young icelandic child, the tradition is this, be good, you get some candy. Otherwise you will be boiled alive and eaten. That seems like a little heavy metal kind of to treat kids.
