Astronomers have created an image of a massive black hole in the milky way. The light ring that you may be seeing on your monitor right now, ah, that your seeing invisible light, was constructed om radio waves. It's absorbed to an amazingly huge extent, like one in ten billion photons of visible light can actually get out. This is much more difficult than m 87 for various reasons.
