The Hearth, the Sitting Around a Fire

As a child i read robert graves wo hewote two versions of his collection, one for adults and a children's version as well. So i was sort of writing for an intelligent young adult, early teen kind ofo, as much as anything. And what i had in mind,. because it struck me as so important when i was first thinking about this, was the the sense of the hearth - sitting round a fire. I can understand when some extent, not hugely, but there was a sense that wind had a physical explanation. Wasn't a god. But everything else that moves, even what is it that pushes fruit out of the out of twigs and blossom
