Author JK Rowling wrote an essay about coming to terms with being a woman. She said she felt confused and mentally sexless at times as a tomboy. The Correspondent, who is trans, says that her process of transitioning socially and medically was extremely difficult. Women going through domestic violence and sexual assault aren't going to be helped by not allowing trans women into restrooms, Valentin writes.
