AI and Predictive Policing in the US
Under the Trump administration pre crime as a Department of Justice policy was created by William Barr. The idea was to data mine social media activity, and then use an AI algorithm to analyze those posts for early signs of neuropsychiatric violence. And that did not get approved under Trump, but Biden approved harpa, but called it instead ARPA dash H. So, wow, you know, that's ultimately where a lot of this is going. It's not just about seeing what's happening in real time, they want to anticipate what’s going to happen.
