You never at any point encounter a full in order telling of the actual event that the book hinges on. You're waiting for a murder and then you're waiting to see how everything unravels after the murder. And the book just does just take its sweet time answering both of those questions. It's not I don't even want to say it's a criticism. It's just sometimes you check the little percentage counter in the book and you're like, I've been doing this for a while.
