The Natural Response to Suffering in the Subway Car
In Bhutan, they have something called gross national happiness instead of the gross national product. So we're in the subway car together with these people for eternity. We want to raise the G&H because then everybody is happier. You know, it's like Samsara. We are with each other for eternity, however long. And still the response when we're really present is one of compassion. That's the appropriate response.
