Low Contrast of Text - The Number One Accessibility Issue
Low contrast of text has been the number one accessibility issue online for four straight years. Contrast minimum is 4.5 to one on text that is 18 pixels or more. There are issues with white text on a black background and vice versa, where they can cause blurring around the edges of text. So basically, you want the contrast to be high enough so that people with low vision can make out and read that text on the site.
