The Simple Gospel Isn't Enough to Persuade People to Become Christians
Every human has a pre-reflective, dispositional, subconscious belief in God. This may be in conflict with the person's conscious belief about God. The devil prevents some people from consciously affirming their subconscious God belief. These are resistant non-believers and are not saved due to a conscious choice they made. Regardless of rebellion, subconscious factors, or devil intervention, a human cannot affirm God belief without Holy Spirit intervention.
