How to Triage an Older Trauma Patient
Dr. Haas: Some of the clinical decisions rules we have around imaging for certain mechanisms, like you have to be going 60 kilometers an hour to get this injury or that injury, were actually done by in the 50s. And I know it sounds gruesome, but I want to tell that gruesome story to really cement in people's minds that when we think of an injury pattern with a velocity or a height, that's for young adults and that is literally out the window for older adults.
