Marine phytoplankton is the most prolific plant in the world by a loam shot. 90% average of the oxygen produced in the earth today comes from phy toplankton. The primary food is around two microns to nine microns of size, depending on the strain. When you're growing it, you're growing in a photobioreactor that uses sunlight and the ocean.
