The Gift of Radiation
I finished the Red Devil and was set for surgery, but I had two oncologists with differing opinions as to whether or not I needed more chemo before surgery. So onto more chemo it was. And then six weeks of radiation. One day I found my seven-year-old daughter at the end of our new driveway with a red solo cup, shaking it at cars as they drove by. We wait to see if she has any nerve damage and we proceed from there.
