I really discourage ultra sound guide injections, as i think they are certainly more challenging. Posterior ostophytes can prevent entry into the s i joint. So analysis of the c t and communication with your injection team to know if they have to go cranial to this osteophite or caudle to it. But our team here at maoclinic is so gifted with injection management that we've had really good luck with fhloroscopically guided s ijoint injections.
