I think that if we look around, there's always a temptation of simplifying moderation and seeing moderation is boring while going to the extremes. And I want to challenge that it's a difficult virtue. There's no guarantee of success, but it can bring success. Abraham Lincoln shows that moderation can be successful though at high cost. Without balance, we cannot leave. So the idea of balance is central to moderation.
