In the mid nineties, I made the era of like hanging out with my friends and saying lull in real life. Now we have to use hand sanitizer. My neurotic friend who won't touch a door, a door knob without, you know, his gloves on or something turns out he was right. So they're still obsessional. It is that funny kind of word that has sort of spread in a certain kind of way. But it's also in some ways, people with policing about it.
