Rudolf Rupp was found dead in the basement of his home. His family had waited for him to return from a night out with friends. They then killed him and dismembered his body before reporting him missing. The group claimed that they disposed of Rudolf's car, but it wasn't there. A scrap dealer named Ludwig Hecht was also questioned by police. But he denied having anything to do with their disappearance. Police eventually released Himcht after paying an 8,000 euro fine.
