The History of William Faulkner

Faulkner has this great grandfather named the old Colonel. He's murdered just a few years before William Faulkner is born. The next generation down from the old Colonel is like a slightly paler shade of the old Colonel, right? By the time you get to Faulkner's dad, Murray, it's he didn't even paler shade. We will get more about that because his role and especially the University of Ole Miss plays a pretty important factor in Faulkners' life.
