The Impossible to Categorise Identity in the US

Megan Fernandez's new book is called I do everything I'm told. Her parents are East African from Tanzania but of go and origin so their ancestors are from the once Portuguese colonized southwestern province in India. You have family in Africa and Zanzibar mainland Tanzania Uganda family in India in England the Cayman Islands in Australia and New Zealand. Different grandparents of yours spoke Portuguese or English or Hindi or kongkani, you yourself were born in Canada but grew up in the United States. So I was hoping you could talk to us about family family by blood about diaspora and relation to your poetics a bit more.
