The effect architecturally and culturally and in terms of learning must have been huge as well. And as you said earlier the effects of the dissolution we can still see them these great hulking carcasses of monasteries littered across the landscape. Matthew that hurts my heart to think about how many books were lost. What riches we would have as historians if they had survived.
