The phrase conveys, there's no strings attached to this. It does imply that I am at some level interested in... Yeah. The definition of backfire is sort of like worst case scenario, right? So when you say, whether you do this with me or someone else, what you're telling me is in five years, no one said, cool. I'm going to do it with someone else. And so the best place to use this would likely be in something that's brand new to them and actually go do somewhere else.
