What's the Cause of the Sudden Cardiac Death?

Sudden cardiac death is seen in about 80% of men. In women, especially postmenopausal women, there's another syndrome. Both are often called broken heart syndrome because of the big effect of bereavement on them. And they are admitted to hospital thinking they're having a heart attack. When their heart is imaged, doctors can't see any blockage in the vessels. What they do see is that the heart is contracting in a very strange way.
