What Are the Most Common Types of Kidney Stones?
Calcium oxcillate is the absolute most common type of stone, but calcium oxillate and calcium phosphate can make up to 85 90% of kidney stones. The next most common would be uric acid base stones. After that, nine or ten % of uric acid stones is everything else. When a patient has symptoms from a stone, it's usually pretty easy to make that diagnosis. But are there clues that a patient may have one or more kidney stones before they have any symptoms? A lot of stones are found, surprisingly, i guess not that surprisingly.
