The Importance of Pay Transparency
There are all kinds of reasons why organizations worry about this and certainly pay transparency as the real potential when it comes into upset people, isn't it? It's a damaged morale, picks worker, against worker. Why should anybody perform at their highest level if they know somebody that they might think doesn't pull their weight is getting paid more than them? I think it boils down to a lack of comfort in being able to talk about pay clearly and transparently.
