Would You Kill Half the Population of the Human Race to Save the Planet?

If you could save the planet by wiping out half the population of the human race, should you? The answer is yes, but they took a tremendous risk. I think there are far, far fewer situations where even things like white lies, but like lying to make someone better, actually works than people think it works. That's why I feel hesitant about this just because it's like, I don't want people to hear me writing a check that I'm not really going to cash.
