Laurel and Dwayne's Story

Laurel is an independent producer now, a freelancer. She's not required to follow any institutional guidelines for two lives such as don't share scripts. But in this case Laurel said she couldn't live with herself if she didn't email Dwayne the rough cut. He did ask me to remove a couple of cultural references I had made. Images that he and his father have both painted that are considered sacred in a Hopi culture that they don't talk about. And there was something about his personal life that he didn't want revealed.
